Statement jewellery in less than 10 minutes
10 April
How’d you like to make
statement jewellery in less than ten minutes?
Today I have a super
easy way of using stone embellishment to make a statement earring, and it won't
even cost much. I bought the whole pack in Rs 30 ($ 0.45) and I have more than
half product left excluding what is used in this tutorial.
Material:
- Stone
Embellishments (teardrop)
- Fabric Glue
- Waste piece of
fabric
- Scissor
- Pushback earring
hooks
Procedure:
- You’ll need two
big teardrops and fourteen small teardrop stones for this tutorial.
- Place the stone
embellishment as shown in the image below.
- Apply
the fabric glue at the bottom of the teardrop stone and paste in on the
piece of fabric.
- Now
paste all embellishments as it is placed in the first image and let it dry
completely.
- Next
step is to trim the extra part, make sure to keep the fabric part downwards and slightly slant the scissor
inwards and begin trimming.
The reason why I always
insist on slanting the scissor inwards while trimming is because it looks clean
also you’re not able to see the edges from front even if you mess up. Happens
many times that I’m not able to trim precisely, it becomes even more difficult
to cut in small areas and this trick helps.
- Time
to attach push back hooks. Apply glue to the wide part, paste and
allow it to set and dry properly.
And you have a beautiful statement earring to rock any party!
Hope you all enjoyed the
tutorial. Let me know if you have any queries or suggestions. If you like this
