DIY Jewelry Organizer
01 May
Do you face problem
storing your jewelry?
Everything gets tangled
up and honestly it’s such a pain in the ass to untangle whole lot every time
you’ve got to wear anything, especially when you’re in hurry. No way
you’re gonna spend 15 minutes untangling it. You’ll end up frustrated or you may
break some earrings or you’ll definitely skip wearing jewelry that day. I’ve
been through all that. I stored my jewelry in a large bowl really it can
get messed up, to save that everyday hassle I have an awesome and easy jewelry
holder you can make from old or useless frame.
You’ll need:
- Black spray/Paint
- Tissue paper
- Black thread
- Wooden frame
- Black Lace
- Glue (water + glue)
Procedure:
- My frame already had nails, I used it in my first semester for braiding or something I don’t remember however you can add nails at a gap of one finger it depends on the size of your frame.
- Crush the tissue and tear it up in small pieces, with
the help of an old brush apply glue on the wooden part paste the crushed
tissue like shown the image and cover the front part of the frame, you
don’t have to do that neatly.
- This is the decorative part, the wooden frame is plain
and boring this step will give texture. You may try something else, like
beads buttons anything decorative.
TIP: Use small pieces of tissue, it’ll appear to be more
attractive.
- After it dries completely it will become hard, spray
the front and sides of the frame black.
You can use paint if you don’t have spray.
There’s no difference, you can use according to your suitability but I’m using
spray because it’s quick and easy.
- It will look something like this. See the difference,
it looks much better now.
- After it dries up, flip it to other side and attach the
lace and trim like shown in the image below.
- Next
step is to create net like structure with thread.
Start by knotting the thread and wrap it around the nail 5-6 times then stretch it along vertically and wrap it around the other nail like shown in the image. Keep doing till you reach the end.
TIP: Stretch and wrap
the thread tightly.
- Don’t cut the thread and continue stretching it
horizontally now to create net like shown in the image below.
- In the end wrap the thread 8-10 times tie a knot and
tape it like shown in the image below so that it doesn’t loosen up.
And your jewelry
organizer is ready.
Now add all your
jewelry, you can hang the heavy jewelry to the lace and earrings on the net.
You can hang it on your
wall or keep on your dressing table.
