How To Make a Table Lampshade In Just 3 Simple Steps

10 July

Is your bedside table plain and boring?
Here’s how you can add an aesthetic piece of décor to your room.
This table lampshade can be made in just 3 simple steps draw, cut and paste, I chose a pattern where you don’t need to worry about the shape being perfect which makes it even more easy.
Let’s get started!

You’ll need:

Black A3 paper
Adhesive
Paper cutter knife
Tracing paper (optional)
Pencil, Scale & Scissor

Procedure:

On a black A3 size paper draw lines as shown in the image below (2cm & 1.5cm)

Now draw leaf shapes of in different sizes as shown in the image below.

Start cutting the leaves, this might be time consuming.
If you’re comfortable cutting without drawing then continue to cut.

When you finished cutting all leaves it’ll look something like this.

Now erase all pencil marks, be careful so you don’t accidentally tear the paper.
(Yep, happened with me)

Next step is to paste it, apply adhesive as shown in image 1, then hold the corners first and then apply pressure as shown in the image 3 and 4. By following this you’ll be able to paste it without any mistake

Light a candle put it in a glass. Place the glass inside the lamp and see the magic.
It’s beautiful how the shadows form a pattern.
You can stop here next step is optional but give the lampshade a fancy look.

Apply glue and paste the tracing paper as shown in the image.

Trim the extra part, apply adhesive and paste.

Place the candle inside the lamp, you may use small emergency lights as well.
